You can only initiate an extension if you first paid using the Parkmobile app, and your app session is still in progress. If you paid by website, there should be a link in the confirmation email allowing you to extend. If you paid physically at the meter or kiosk, no extension option is available to you through the app.
Below are the instructions to extend an active session.
- Open your app and tap the hamburger menu (three horizontal lines) to open the settings
- Select Activity, then tap your active session and choose extend if it is available.
- Last, select the amount of time you want to add and confirm.
Please note that each extension has a transaction fee!
I tried to extend in the app, but couldn't. What do I do?
If you have difficulty extending, it's possible that your session has already expired, your area does not allow extensions, or you paid physically at a parking meter without using Parkmobile at all.
The next option is to start a new parking session instead of an extension, using the same parking details as the first session. The details of your first session are in the app, in your parking confirmation receipt email, or at the parking area.
You are welcome to start a new parking session online at the Parkmobile website as well. You can check out as a guest here. You can also call in using the region-specific phone number on the Parkmobile signs in the area, or by calling the general Customer Care line at (877) 727-5457.
I couldn't extend or start a new session! What do I do?
If you are unable to extend and also unable to start a new session, it's best to please pay physically at the meters or kiosk in the parking area, or simply move your car elsewhere.
Remember that the authorities require payment to park in certain areas, and without payment, you cannot park there. If you leave your car unpaid for any reason, local enforcement may give you a citation, boot your vehicle, or tow it away.
