If you purchase a new vehicle or sell your old one and need to change your license plate on file, free Parkmobile Basic accounts can edit their vehicle details within the app by following the instructions below. Regarding Parkmobile for Business accounts, personal information can only be changed online at our website.
Here are the directions for free Basic account holders to edit, remove, or add a vehicle.

Open the Vehicle Settings
- Tap the hamburger menu (three horizontal lines) at the top right of the app’s home page to open the settings tab
- Tap “Vehicle” to view the vehicles listed on your account.

Adding a License Plate
- Tap the “+ Add Vehicle” button
- Enter the plate number and select the country/state of registration. You may also add a nickname for the vehicle and identify it as an Electric Vehicle using the toggle
- Tap “add vehicle” at the bottom. This will preview the new plate, and you can confirm if it’s correct, OR go back to edit it
- When added, you will be brought back to the vehicle's settings tab, where you can view the new plate
- Please note: only five license plates are allowed on file.

Removing a License Plate
- In the vehicle settings, tap the three-dot menu on the right side of the license plate
- Tap “remove”, and confirm the choice
- Alternatively, tap “edit vehicle” from the dot menu, or tap directly on the plate to open the edit page

Updating a License Plate on File
- Using the three-dot menu next to the license plate, tap “edit vehicle”
- You can adjust the country and state of registration, as well as the plate itself and the nickname. You can also update the EV toggle on this page.
- Tap “save” at the bottom, and you will be shown the plate to confirm the change. This will return you to the vehicle's settings tab, where you can view the updated plate
- Alternatively, tap on the plate itself, and this will take you directly to the edit page for the license plate
Important Notices
These instructions are only for account changes. The license plate on an active parking session can't be changed; a new session is needed to avoid a citation.
ParkMobile for Business accounts must manage their license plates using the Personal Pages on the parkmobile.io website, not the app.
To change the license plate on a future reservation entry pass, please contact Customer Care or submit a help desk ticket here at least 3 hours before the reservation's start time.
